I was wondering if I could just put my computer in standby instead of completely shutting it off, which would be better? I hate having to wait for my computer to load. Thanks for the help!

I shut down to standby almost all the time. I'm lucky to have a Logitech keyboard that has a Sleep button that does this automitically. I never shut down to the off state. When I need to, I will restart the computer, though.

Restarting from Standby takes only a few seconds while a full boot takes upwards of 30 (on my machines).

What is the difference of the button being on the keyboard and simply clicking 'standby'? Thanks for the help.
