OK, I"m on here for xild again. Her Emachines puter is shutting down by itself, and when she turns it back on, all she gets is a blue screen. She tried using the restore disk, but the CD drive does nopt seem to be reading. Ant suggestions for her? Probably a new machine. Thank you for looking...

Hi xild!

Has she tried booting the machine into Safe Mode? Also, you said she gets a blue screen, is there any writing on that blue screen? If there is, please post the information there, most importantly the information that is IN ALL CAPS.
