Hey SuperComputer Genius'-

My Dell laptop "blue screened"-
The only information on it I care about is 3 years worth of pictures!
I took it to the Geek Squad at Best Buy for data recovery -
They could not recover anything so I bought a new laptop but would still like
to pursue data recovery before I return it to Dell for replacement -

I called Dell & they gave me the name of some "data recovery people".......
I inquired & they charge $1600 - $2400 !!!!

Before I give up & send it back for replacment,
can anyone refer me to a "cheaper recovery option" or is this a lost cause ?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer ;-)
Tara

Hi Tarabulltee...

Does the drive still spin up (or did it when you last used it)? Do you know what the Geek Squad did to try and recover the drive?
