Hello

Im trying to make a transaction that deletes an actor from a movies database, and also deletes any records that refer to that actor in other tables.

Im not really sure where to start though. Could anyone give me a few pointers to get started?

Thanks :whistling:

I have always found the W3schools tutorials to be helpful and they have a great basic outline of SQL and the syntax, a link is below. Pay special attention to the JOIN and UNION commands to help you find all the appropriate fields across different tables, then use the DELETE commands to delete those entries.

In order to help you more with the SQL statement to do this, we need to know a bit more about how your database is set up for the different tables. Are you using unique primary keys in the tables? If not, how are your tables referencing each other?
