Hi,

I have been having trouble removing E2Give, ADW_SE.58954, ADW_SE.60340, and when I reboot my computer I always get a message saying "RUNDLL: Error loading W1579ac5.dll. The specified module could not be found" when the desktop appears. I have ran Adaware, CWShredder(safe mode), Spybot S+D, Ewido (safe mode), Trend Housecall, Protector Plus (my antivirus software), Trojan Hunter, Updated windows, and rebooted. However the ewido guard will not stop popping up saying "Infected object found. File: iniwin32.dll, Path:C:\WINDOWS\system32, Infection: Adware.E2give. Perform action Clean or none. and There is a check in a box next to create encrypted backup in the quarantine (recommended)". As soon as I click clean and ok, The same screen pops up again so I click clean again. This happens about 10 times in a row, then it goes away for a couple of minutes, and pops up 10 more times in a row. Trojan hunter said it cleaned it also, but it diddnt. When I was running trend housecall it found about 8 problems. It was able to clean all of them except for ADW_SE.58954, and ADW_SE.60340. I clicked on tips for removal, and it said it had no info of these problems. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with this. See the following for both my hijackthis and ewido log.

First of all, open Spybot S&D, click Mode>Advanced>Tools>Resident and remove the check from the Tea Timer box. You can reinstate it later but we don't want it interfering with what we need to do. Reboot when done.

Download The Avenger by Swandog46, and save it to your Desktop. Extract avenger.exe from the Zip file and save it to your desktop

Run avenger.exe by double-clicking on it.
Check the 'Input script manually' box.
Click on the magnifying glass icon.
Copy everything in the code box below (don't copy the word "CODE in the box header, just the box contents starting at Files to delete) and paste it in the box that opens:

WARNING: This script is not a general fix. If you are not this user, running this script could damage your system

Files to delete:
C:\Windows\System32\iniwin32.dll

Folders to delete:
C:\Program Files\E2G

Registry values to replace with dummy:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows | AppInit_DLLs

Now click the 'Done' button.
Click on the traffic light icon and OK the prompt.
You will be prompted to restart, OK the prompt and your PC should reboot, if not, reboot it manually.

Please post a new HijackThis log and the log file from Avenger at C:\avenger.txt

You are running HijackThis from its zipped archive; please create a new folder for it and unzip the program into it. It is very important you do this before anything else!

Right click Here and select Save As to download WinHelp2002's DelDomains.inf. Please save the file somewhere you can find it like on the desktop. To run the inf file, right click on it and select Install.

Make sure that you have no browser windows open as this could prevent the fix from working properly. Open HijackThis, scan and when complete, remove the following entries by checking the box to the left and clicking 'fixed checked':

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O2 - BHO: CControl Object - {3643ABC2-21BF-46B9-B230-F247DB0C6FD6} - C:\Program Files\E2G\IeBHOs.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [w1579ac5.dll] RUNDLL32.EXE w1579ac5.dll,I2 000ab7e801579ac5
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [occdma] C:\WINDOWS\system32\occdma.exe

Exit HijackThis when done. Reboot into Safe Mode by tapping F8 after the BIOS has loaded. Using Windows Explorer, find and delete the following:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\occdma.exe

Exit Explorer and reboot into Normal Mode. Rescan with HijackThis and post a new log here.

Hi,

I was unable to find C:\Windows\system32\occdma.exe in safe mode so I could not delete it. Everything else went ok though. Here is my hijackthis.

I right clicked Del Domains and left clicked install. Nothing really happened though. I tried it a couple of times.

Everything seems to be acting great!! Thank you very much for your help. I just have one last question. Should I keep all of the programs I have downloaded. Avenger, CW Shredder, Ewido, Hijackthis, TrojanHunter, Del Domains, Spybot S + D, Adaware. If im keeping Spybot should I reactivate tea timer? Right now I have an ewido guard, and trojan hunter guard on at the same time on the bottom right hand corner of the screen near the clock.

You're welcome - glad to help :whistling:

Programs to keep:

Avenger - No
CW Shredder - No
Ewido - Yes
Hijackthis - Yes
TrojanHunter - Yes
Del Domains - No
Spybot S + D - Yes
Adaware - Yes

You can reactivate teatimer now. To help keep you clean follow the recommendations in Tony's article here:

So how did I get infected in the first place?
