Hi , i am running a small workgroup of about 6 pc`s.Everything works fine but after a while when i try to connect to the centralized mapped network drive, I get an error saying " a specified authentication package is unknown.I am running ICS from the pc with the mapped drive. But strange enough I can still access the internet from the other pc`s, but can`t access the mapped drive.

Okay I saw your post and looked at others with the same issue and saw no fixes. So what I decided to do was to go backwards on what changed on my machine and lo and behold when I removed this my mapped drives worked like a champ.

An update package that includes BITS 2.0 and WinHTTP 5.1 is available for Windows Server 2003, for Windows XP, and for Windows 2000

I hope this helps I know how frustrating Microsoft EVER so helpful error messages can be.
