I need help. My brand new Dell computer (XP Home Edition) has been hijacked and I
can't seem to fix the problem. BTW, I use Firefox, although IE is still installed
on my computer. One of my daughters probably came across this nasty bug through
IM. Here's the scoop:

The task manager and hardware device manager boxes stay open only for a split second. My computer no longer recognizes the D drive. My McAfee Antivirus and Firewall, SpyBot, and AdAware programs won't update. Whenever I run these programs, they always find 0 problems. This is very suspicious, because whenever I've run the programs in the past they've always found problems.

CWShredder and Trojan Hunter also found no problems.

I downloaded and ran the programs this site recommends. No problems found.
