this question has alot of different opinions. go here for firewalls and reviews.

Personally I use Norton NIS on one computer and am happy with it. However, before I switched operating system to linux on another computer I was seriously looking at Trend Micros Internet Security and liked what I saw.

I kno that lots of ppl like alot of different firewalls. but the easiest is to just stick with windows firewall. it blocks a good amount of stuff and can be set to take exceptions.

Windows Firewall only blocks traffic one way so a 3rd party firewall instead will be better, a popular combination is Zone Alarm Free with AVG Free
