Keygens are a common place for malware writers to hide trojans and get them into your system. But they are illegal so you are getting what you deserve if you use them.

Go to the malware forum the link is in my sig, follow all the directions and they will make sure the system is clean

Being poor is no excuse to steal though, you can get everything you need software wise for free, there isnt any reason to crack software.

The keygen most likely does have a trojan in it, avast is pretty good and if its picking one up its most likely in there.

Yeah its good, i would double check with the guys in the malware forum just to make sure you are clean, AVs are good but even the best of them cant always clear the roots of the virus from the system.

Yeah VLC is very good player i use it when all else fails as it does play everything even incompete avi files. Media player classic is also good and i like winamp for most everything else because it has the bigger feature set and looks better.

You should check out some of the skins for avast they are very good.

But you can get everything you need in the freeware vareity this is a good resource i use regularly to find stuff http://www.econsulta...ties/index.html .
