After starting my other computer it goes to a black screen with the message:
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\windows\system32\config\system
You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows setup using the original setup CD-ROM.
Select ‘r’ at the first screen to start repair
I am using Window XP Media Center Edition. I am working with Dell Service because they didn't send me the original setup CD when purchased the computer and so they are mailing it to me next week.
Is there a way for me to access the hard drive from this older computer (Windows 98 SE)? Maybe through the USB ports. There are important files I need.
Thanks for any help....
