  • Click on the Submit button
  • Please post the results in your next reply.

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond! I work third shift and have a 7 month old so it is kind of hard to get on here sometimes! I did what you asked me to do as far as deleting my cache and cookies but when I tried to do the Jotti's Malware scan, it kept saying the server was busy. I didn't want you to think I had forgot about this so I wanted to reply and let you know that I was waiting for that Jotti's Malware scan to work.

Ok, thanks for the logs. Let's continue now :whistling:

===

Update Java
  • Go to Start » Control Panel » Add/Remove Programs.
  • Search for all previous installed versions of Java. (J2SE Runtime Environment.... )
    It should have this icon next to it: Posted Image
  • Click that entry and then click on the Change/Remove button.
  • Then download and install the newest version from here.
===

Manually delete these files -

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Cookies\owner@go[1].txt
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Cookies\owner@target[1].txt

===

Then post a new Hijackthis log. Also tell us how are things running now :blink:

I updated my Java and deleted those files you told me to delete. Here is a copy of my new Hijack this logfile. Also, I am having another problem but I can't remember what the box said so I will post it when I re-boot my computer. If I can remember correctly, it said something about my Jave Virtual Machine Launcher. I am hoping that updating my jave will help to solve this problem. If not, I will be sure to repost! Thanks! :whistling:

Hello again when I restarted my computer after doing all my updates, I still got that message. A box pops up that says Java Virtual Machine Launcher "Could not find the main class. Program will exit" I don't know how to get rid of it! Please help! :whistling:

Ok, we'll go back to the Java problem later. We need to get rid of another nasty in your log, New.Net.

Before we do anything first, please do this :

===

Please download SpywareBlaster
  • Install and update SpywareBlaster with the latest definitions.
  • After you have updated, click the button - enable protection for all unprotected items
Please download MVP's host file
  • Double-click Host.zip, then double-click MVPS.bat and allow it to run.
===

Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, then uninstall the following programs :
  • New.Net
===

Then run HJT and see if this entry is still there (do not fix it!) :

O10 - Broken Internet access because of LSP provider 'c:\program files\newdotnet\newdotnet7_22.dll' missing

If it still exist, please do this :

  • Double click on LSPFix.exe on your Desktop to run it.
  • Once running, you will be required to tick the disclaimer - "I know what I'm doing".

  • In the left pane which is labeled Keep, select all instances of:
    newdotnet7_22.dll or anything New.Net
  • Then click on the arrow pointing to the right, >>.
    This will move the entry to the right pane labeled Remove.

I updated my spyware blaster and enabled my protection. After that, I downloaded MVP's host file and it was a winzip application. After I unzipped it, I didn't see an icon to click on titled MVPS Bat I did however see one called MVPS MS-DOS Batch file. When I clicked on it, nothing happened. I also went into my add/remove programs list and I couldn't find new.net in my list but I did however find that entry in my hijack this logfile. After seeing that, I downloaded LSPFix and did what you said. Any instances that I had dealing with new.net was already in the Remove section so I clicked finish and it removed it. Here is a copy of my new Hijack this log:

After I unzipped it, I didn't see an icon to click on titled MVPS Bat I did however see one called MVPS MS-DOS Batch file.

Yes, that's the one. And it's normal to just close quickly after clicking it.

Good job on following my instructions :whistling: You just missed on of my questions :

Also tell me if that message/error at startup is still there

Any news?

Oh, sorry missed your post. :whistling: I found some info about that error -

http://www.java.com/...help/wjview.xml

One of the symptoms there is having an old version of Java. So let's see if you still have that old ver :
