Hey, I'm looking for a good or the best software available to trace incoming or outgoing connections on my home networking. I'd like to find if I have anyone connected through my wifi or anyone pinging into my network connection or so forth. Please, all responses are welcome.

Thanks guys.

Ethereal is probably one of the best, but it takes some working out, how interpret the results.

ethereal is the best (IMO)...but you have to have a basic knowledge of the traffic that would normally be seen on a network...

if you're worried about people connecting to your wifi...enable MAC address filtering on your router as well as WEP encryption...if you're worried about people getting into your internal network once someone does get on the wifi....then get a good firewall (if they can't get in...then you don't have to check the traffic)
