I had this error but I have destroyed the virus responsible, it took time but it paid off.

To begin with run the panda online scan here.
Then run adaware which can be downloaded from download.com
Then run spybot which can also be downloaded from download.com

Delete all the items in the quarantine/ back up list because they may somehow reinfect your computer.

Hope this works.

I've tried to run it thorugh the normal IE but becuase of broswer hijack problems it keeps throwing me out and closing the window........any suggestions?? apart from throw the lot out of the window!!!!!!

Try downloading a free virus scanner, ad aware and spybot from another computer and then putting them onto your computer and running them
