I bought pharaoh with expansion queen of the nile. pharaoh installs and plays fine, qotn installs ok but will not load, pharaoh also will not load after installing qotn.
I e-mailed sold out who make the game , their answer was to change compatibility of the game and to up-date graphics driver. this done the games will still not load and their new advice is to play the game on a friends computer.!!!!
any help will be much appreciated

What advice!

What are your system specs?
Does it display an error message?
Does the event logs have any errors logged around the time you start the game?
Have you installed the patch that is available?
Have you tried installing it into the default path?
Did you try using Windows 2000 compatibility?

I have tried everything you suggest, no joy
the event logger says MSMQ is not installed, when I ask it to install I get the same message again.
The original Error message when I tried to load games was
"Unable to function : FT_Thunk(Kernel32.dll)"
Even though games are installed pharaoh will load but Queen of the Nile disc says "please insert pharaoh disc.
All very confusing

Uninstall both games, run the Pharaoh install program using Windows 2000 compatibility, then run the Cleopatra install program using Windows 2000 compatibility.

I have tried everything that has been suggested
Pharaoh works fine on its own but as soon as I install Cleopatra none of them will load.
Error message " Unable to load function: FT_Funk(KERNEL32.dll)
