Laptop won't turn on!

My Sony Vaio PCG-r505 gl shut down in the middle of operation with no warning. It will not start back up. I have removed the battery to try and reset it, but it didn't work. Any Ideas?

Sorry I am an idiot! The extension cord was loose causing no power. At least it didn't cost $ to fix. LOL
