If someone can please help me, that'd be great! :whistling: Well, I don't know if I did something, but I clicked on this website because I was looking for something, and the next thing I know, McAfee starts freaking out saying that *insert virus/infection here* has been found! Begin Scan now!" or something like that, so I click yes, please do. And then my background screen went blue, and says "Warning! Spyware threat detected! System error #1752. Your computer has several fatal errors due to spyware activity. Your IP address is *insert here* and via this address an unauthorized access was gained by another computer. It is strictly recommended to install an anti-virus software to close all security breaches." Also, a little message in the corner of the screen keeps popping up saying "Spyware detected!" and so on. Can someone please help me? This is a brand new computer....XD.....and I can't help but feel a little responsible because I clicked on the website address that I thought would help me....PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP!!!

Hi V-Jump...

Please go to the Malware Forum and follow the instructions.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself...then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum. Be patient, the Malware Forum is a very busy place and a two or three day wait is not unusual. DO NOT REPLY TO OR BUMP YOUR OWN LOG. If it shows a reply it may be overlooked as one that is being worked on.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
