I've run AVG and it indicates that there is an trojan horse downloader.Small.16.AB in my system restore. How do I get rid of this trojan horse? The AVG does quarentine the trojan horse, and I have looked up on the net info regarding it. However I am unable to find any info, any help on how to get rid of it as it is on my system restore.
I have shut down system restore and have run the AVG, when its off no trojan. But once I turn the system restore back on the trojan is there again its like a "Catch 22".
Any info on how to get rid or of any software that would help to get rid would be greatly appreciated.

Please go to the Malware Forum and follow the instructions.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself...then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum. Be patient, the Malware Forum is a very busy place and a two or three day wait is not unusual. DO NOT REPLY TO OR BUMP YOUR OWN LOG. If it shows a reply it may be overlooked as one that is being worked on.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
