A piece of Spyware (McFeesoftware is caling it PUPER.DLL). I can't get rid of it. When I start IE it replaces my home page with "blank" and then redirects to web page to http://www.securityuptodate.com/. I get a Yellow triangle in my system tray that keeps poping up a bubble warning me of security issues. I am unable to reset my home page in IE and the spyware also throw up popups almost every minute ---- anything from Spyware Removal ads to Adult and Gambling sites. Has anyone seen this Explore Hijacker? If so, how did you get rid of it? I have tried Adware, Spybot, AOL's Spyware, McAfee, etc. but his thing is still there. I also cannot reset my registry back to a date earlier than the infection date ---- this is a nasty virus/spyware. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks,
Tom

Hi tgray98...

Please go to the Malware Forum and follow the instructions.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself...then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum. Be patient, the Malware Forum is a very busy place and a two or three day wait is not unusual. DO NOT REPLY TO OR BUMP YOUR OWN LOG. If it shows a reply it may be overlooked as one that is being worked on.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
