When I insert the CD and go to the setup it says that my XP currently installed is newer than the one on my CD.
Is there a way I can install XP?

It depends on what your goal is...do you intend to start completely from scratch, or do you wish to save things on this computer?

What version of windows xp are you trying to install (upgrade, oem, retail)
