my video card, which is a 6800 GT by Asus, is running very hot. I have had the card for a couple months now, but have just recently started checking the temps its running at. Idle it is 65 C and when under full load, like when im playing games, its around 80 C. Also the last 2 time i have played games, the game has canceled out, and exits to the desktop, without saving the game or asking if i want to quit, any suggestions?

If it is being overclocked immediately undo it. 80C is dangerously hot. It desparately needs an aftermarket cooler to bring the temp down below 60C. Maybe its just me, but I find it hard to believe that any reputable company would ship a product that runs this hot under normal circumstances.

It looks like this one might do the job, but I'm not a gamer:

Water cooling unless its expensive is a noise reduction measure more than an extra cooling measure, good air cooling will cool better and cost less, for something that cools better than ait you need to spend a fair bit, but if there is something wrong with the cooler the new water will be better.

Asus isn't exactly a fabulous company, but it depends on a few factors like manufacturing conditions etc. etc.
