:tazz:
I used the install/uninstall utility of Win98 to uninstall a program called "glophone".
During the uninstall something drastic happened, the computer froze. I rebooted and then got an error message telling me that explorer caused an invalid page fault in module explorer.exe. It will be shut down.
I researched this error and found a couple of resolutions in example:
boot up to command prompt and type:
ren:\explorer.exe explorer.old then hit enter (I then get a line that says, file not found -c:\explorer.exe

I then rebooted to command prompt and changed the shell=explorer to shell=progman then was told to click on install/uninstall Microsoft IE & tools click uninstall and then click repair... When the install/uninstall box opens to do this, it is completely blank as if there are no programs installed. I rebooted and now get a message that explorer.exe has a problem and to reinstall windows..
I bought this laptop used from a dealer and received no CD's with it. How can I fix it. I use the machine alot..
