I'm new to this forum and have registered to get a response to this specific question:
I know there has been a thread on this problem before, but mine is slightly different. The error message is:
"Winword.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created".

I have read other poster's problems with this message but none seem to match mine. I have a document that contains a fairly detailed SolidWorks graphics model, and I have inserted various text boxes around it in order to annotate, with arrows pointing to specific parts of the model and numbered labels on each annotated note and the relevant part on the model. I have formatted the page to A3 landscape.

As you might have guessed, this is something I am doing at work. At first the error message appeared pretty infrequently but now it appears all the time, pretty much stopping me from doing any more work in the document. It often appears when I try to open the document, and even when it does let me open it, the same message will usually appear after just one or two actions. No other word documents are affected.

I am aware that for this particular application, a graphics program would be more appropriate. This computer (my company's not mine) has JASC Paint Shop Pro V. 6.01 and Animation Shop V. 2.01 installed, as well as MS Paint of course. I have tried using these programs but am unable to get them to do exactly what I want, in the way that I can with Word (apart from the error messages, obviously). This is probably because I am very inexperienced with Graphics software, and so fixing this error message problem is quicker and easier than learning to use the graphics software :tazz:

Any ideas and feedback would be appreciated. As I said, it is my company's computer on the company network, so uninstalling other software is not really an option.
