Quick Problem - Please Help

For the past couple of days an error message has been popping up on my computer and I can't get rid of it. The message is one of the Microsoft error reports that asks the user to "please tell Microsoft about this problem." This one in particular is apparently a problem with the application prutsct. The error reads:

"prutsct has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

The error signature is:

AppName: prutsct.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.209 ModName: msvbvm60.dll
ModVer: 6.0.96.90 Offset: 00045e90

Every time I click "Don't send" or "Send Error Report" the message just pops up again in a few seconds. I downloaded Hijack This and created a log - I just wanted to see if I should use Hijak This to delete the application or fix it or something else. Here's my log:

Just go to C:\windows\system32 . Rename the file pprutsct.exe to anything else. After renaming it the popups should stop. I deleted it at this point as well.

you have some bad files on your system

To clean some of it out already, please download Spybot: Search and Destroy from http://www.safer-net...?page=download . Check for Updates first, download ALL Updates and Do a Scan. When finished, make sure ALL RED items have been ticked, and click the "Fix Selected Problems" Button.

I'd Also Recommend you Download AdAware, Another good Antispyware Program From http://www.lavasoftu...port/download/ . Install The Program and Run it. Make Sure You Click the "Check for Updates" Button before starting a scan. Do a scan on AdAware and Remove Everything it suggests.

Then post a fresh Hijack this
