I have a foot pedal connected to my serial port (Com 1) that I use for transcribing digital files. For some reason it has quit working. The software program, Express Scribe, tells me that the port is either already being used, is not the right port (I only have 1 serial port) or it does not exist. Everything was working fine a couple of months ago, and for no apparent reason this has happened. I have gone through Settings and it tells me the port is working properly. Anybody have suggestions?
