Download haxfix.exe
and save it to your desktop.

Double click on haxfix.exe to install haxfix. (standard installation path is c:\program Files\haxfix)
Checkmark "Create a desktop icon"
Click "Next"
When the installation is completed, make sure that the checkmark "Launch HaxFix" is placed
Click "Finish"

A red "dos window" (dos box) will open with options:
1. Make logfile
2. Run auto fix
3. Run manual fix
E. Exit Haxfix

Select option 1. Make logfile by typing 1 and then pressing Enter
Haxfix will start scanning the computer. When it is finished a logfile will open: haxlog.txt
Copy the contents of that logfile and paste it into this thread. (c:\haxfix.txt)

Option 2 autofix

Open this folder program files > haxfix and double click on fix.bat (or double click on fix.bat desktop icon)
Close all other open windows since this step requires a reboot
Select option 2. Run auto fix by typing 2 and then pressing Enter

If an infection is found, you'll get a message to close all other open windows.

Close all open windows except the red dos window from haxfix and then press Enter
The computer will reboot
After reboot a logfile will open > (c:\haxfix.txt)
Post the contents of that logfile along with a new HijackThis log.

IMPORTANT
You are running HJT from an unsafe location - it should be placed in a folder of its own.

I think, apart from the above, you're about done but I would like you to run an online scan as a double-check.

Run the following scan: Kaspersky Online Scanner.
When you see "Please select a target to scan", click on "My Computer".
When the scan has completed and the results are displayed, click on the Save as text button and save the report with an appropriate name to your Desktop.
Copy and paste this report into your next reply along with a new HJT log AND a description of how your PC is running.

** Please note **
a) I.E. is required to run this scan.
b) You will need to remain online for the duration of the scan.

Last bit and you can go on your merry way.

Run HijackThis as you did to generate a log, but this time click on 'Do a system scan only'.
Place a checkmark in the boxes to the left of the following entries, by clicking on them:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k

CLOSE ALL OPEN WINDOWS AND BROWSERS - EXCEPT HJT and click on Fix checked

Remove any/all of the following files/folders that you can find:

Files

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Folders\ibm00003.dll
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Folders\ibm00003.exe

As an example:
To delete C:\WINDOWS\system32\filetogo.bye
Double click the My Computer icon on your Desktop.
Double click on Local Disc (C:)
Double click on the Windows folder,
Double click on the System 32 folder,
Right click on filetogo.bye and from the menu that appears, click on 'Delete'

(You may need to set Windows to show All Hidden Files and Folders
Instructions can be found here.
** These files are hidden to stop you accidentally removing something important.
It is advisable to hide them again after fixing your computer. **)

Download ATF Cleaner by Atribune from here and save it to your Desktop.
Double click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Check the boxes to the left of:Windows Temp
Current User Temp
All Users Temp
Temporary Internet Files
Prefetch
Java Cache
The rest are optional - if you want to remove the lot, check "Select All".
Finally click Empty Selected. When you get the "Done Cleaning" message, click OK.

If you use the Firefox or Opera browsers, you can use this program as a quick way to tidy those up as well.

When you have finished, click on the Exit button in the Main menu.

For Technical Support, double-click the e-mail address located at the bottom of each menu.

As long as you have no further issues, run your PC as normal for a few days. When you are happy that everything is fine, do the following:

Update your anti-virus program,
Disable System Restore,
Boot into Safe Mode,
Scan your computer for viruses.
When you get the all clear, reboot into Normal Mode.
Re-enable System Restore,
Create a Restore Point.
This will give a clean Restore Point should you need it in the future.

The reason for waiting is that if removing the malware has caused a problem, which it occasionally does, you can put your PC back to how it was before the fix. This will re-install the malware, but an infected PC is better than an expensive paperweight!
