You should have one anti-virus program such as AVG or Avast and one decent firewall such as ZoneAlarm or Outpost. The native Windows firewall is deficient. Running multiple malware detection programs is fine.

ok.......so isnt spywareblaster like spy-bot?And when I got my XP I bought it from a friend that works for HP in the tech department so he installed some of these programs so I have no idea which firewall (I dont know what a firewall is exzactly) I have on my puter.I dont think I have one really. But quiet a few people have suggested zone alarm. So I definately will be installing zone alarm ASAP.Also I used to have AVG (the free version)but someone else said it wasnt necessary.but I know I absolutely MUST have an anti-virus program, yet I thought spy-bot was an anti-virus program.

So in conclusion.....I should also install AVG,spywareblaster & zone alarm, correct?

You should install an anti virus programme, a firewall and spyware blaster is good, spybot is not an anti virus programme

The ones you mention are suitable and you will find them in the centre section

You can keep Spybot because it is an anti-spyware programme, isn't large and works well with ad-aware se and spywareblaster
