I have an Intel D845HV motherboard and can not access the BIOS. According to my manual, I'm supposed to press F2 after the POST and before the OS launches. The problem is I get the Gateway splash screen, a brief black screen, and then the Windows boot screen so quickly I don't know when I should press F2. On my old machine I was prompted at the point in which I could enter set up. This new computer doesn't seem to do that. I tried pressing it repeatedly from the moment I power up my computer but to no avail. Thanks for any help you can give.

Getting into the BIOS can be on of the most agravating tasks. What you should do in that case is strick the F2 key once a second from the time you press the power button to turn on your comp. and keep pressing it until you see that it has brought you to the set up screen, if that doesnt work (which it should if your mobo book said that was the key) is to try all of the function keys (F1 F3 etc.)

Let me know if that helped.

Jim.
