I have a problem with my computer. When I run the sweep on Spysweeper it comes up with EMesh. Have you heard of this? My Norton email scanner keeps scanning like 25 emails to p*** sites and when I try to go to MSN.com I get zippy lookup. I am at my wits end. :tazz:

Are you sure its not I-Mesh ?
sounds like you have connected yourself to a PPP network, which is a fun and cheap ,but highly dnagerious way of sharing files across the internet . Especially since you don't kow who you are sharing files with or when.... oopps you are sharing when ever your computer is turn on if you have a DSL connection and everytime you are on line with a DUN account.... that's a lot of bandwidth you are giving away.

BTW those tend to give you viruses spam spyware and other maliciousware.

getting a redirect when you go to msn.com is a classic exaple of spyware. try spybot search and destroy

I ran spybot S&D and it come up with Avenue A, inc only.

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them:

ALCXMNTR.EXE

Exit Explorer

Reboot into normal mode (simply restart your computer as you normally would),

Please run the following free, online virus scans: Please post the logs From both virus scans and HJT.log we will need them to remove previous infections that have left files on your system.
