HERE IS THE L2M log option 1 again:
i started getting more popups now.. its just getting annoying..
when i leave my comp alone for 3-4 mins.. there are like 20-25 popups and comp ends up freezing..

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log, and we'll clean up what's left.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!

This is very stubborn.

Download Hoster.zip from http://members.aol.c...dbee/hoster.zip
Unzip the file and save to your desktop, dont run it yet.
We will be using it later.

You will need to print out these directions or save them to notepad as we will be doing part of this fix in safe mode.

Please follow my instructions exactly as posted, please print these out for a reference.

Download LSPfix here: http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm

Launch the application, and click the "I know what I'm doing" checkbox.

Check all instances of the files below, and move them to the "Remove" pane.

dolsp.dll

Then click Finish.


Reboot into safe mode:
Once in safe mode scan with HJT and place a check mark next to the following items.

Make sure that only HJT is running then click "Fix Checked"

Search your system for the following folders/files and remove the following if found.

Now run Hoster.
Press "Restore Original Hosts" and press "OK". Exit Program

Delete your temp files:

Navigate to the C:\Windows\Temp folder. Open the Temp folder and go to Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Go to Start > Run and type %temp% in the Run box. The Temp folder will open. Click Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Finally go to Control Panel > Internet Options. On the General tab under "Temporary Internet Files" Click "Delete Files". Put a check by "Delete Offline Content" and click OK. Click on the Programs tab then click the "Reset Web Settings" button. Click Apply then OK.

Empty your recycle bin:

Reboot normally then do the following:

Try updating to SP1A again.

Then post back a new HJT log by using Add Reply

You will need to update to SP1A, you just keep getting infected.

The policy from GTG states:

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.

Apply the update, reboot, and post a fresh Hijack This log.
