The floppy drive..when we try to save anything starts making a whole bunch of weird noises...for about minutes and then it says that we cant save..or that the disk is full..which it isnt because i jsut formatted it....and it wont load anthing either. any suggestions? the floppy drive is rarely used..and the computer is fairly new.

Hi

Have you tried saving data to several other floppy disks in order to eliminate the disk itself being the problem?

Try Samm's suggestion: try another floppy. These things die easily and are considered disposable. If the floppy is in the drive and it is making sounds like a coffee grinder, and then gives an error message, the first probable cause is the disk itself. If you try multiple floppy disks and the same thing happens, it is the drive. The drive can easily be replaced if needed.
