Hello Michael...

Please do this:

1. Open HijackThis.
Click on Open Misc Tools Section
Make sure that both boxes beside "Generate StartupList Log" are checked:
  • List all minor sections(Full)
  • List Empty Sections(Complete)
Click Generate StartupList Log.
Click Yes at the prompt.
It will open a text file. Please copy the entire contents of that page and paste it here.

2. Open HijackThis
  • click Config, click Misc Tools
  • Click "Open Uninstall Manager"
  • Click "Save List" (generates uninstall_list.txt)
  • Click Save, copy and paste the results in your next post.

Hello Michael...

1. Copy everything inside the quote box below (starting with @) and paste it into notepad. Go up to "File > Save As", click the drop-down box to change the "Save As Type" to "All Files". Save it as remlop.bat on your desktop.

@echo off
cd C:\WINDOWS\Tasks
attrib -r -s -h AACFE5EE918499EA.job
del AACFE5EE918499EA.job
exit

2. Double-click remlop.bat on your desktop. A window will open and close quickly, this is normal.

3. Please download lop.zip
Unzip it to your desktop.
Go into the new lop folder and double-click lop.bat
It will run and when done a notepad will open, please copy the contents of the Notepad and paste it here.

Hello Michael....

While it is not my place to tell you what to do, you have LimeWire,Morpheus, Napster and bitorrent which are P2P/file sharing programs installed on your computer. Most computer security experts recognize P2P/file sharing programs as security risks to your computer.

References for the risk of these programs are here:
http://www.microsoft...protection.mspx
here: http://www.techweb.com/wire/160500554
and here: http://www.internetw...cles/art053.htm

I would recommend that you uninstall these programs, however that choice is yours to make. If you choose to remove these programs, you can do so via Control Panel >> Add or Remove Programs.

Please proceed as follows:

1. Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Ball Amok Creative Tons] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MapiUserBallAmok\viewpop.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Bin Fast] C:\DOCUME~1\Mick1\APPLIC~1\ROADAM~1\Hope 4 remote.exe

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked.

2. Reboot into safe mode by restarting your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

3. Please remove these entries from Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel(if present). Click start>>control panel>>add/remove programs:

Viewpoint Media Player (and any other Viewpoint programs listed)
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 3

4. Please delete these folders using Windows Explorer:
  • Click Start>>All Programs>>Accessories>>Windows Explorer
  • Navigate to the listed folders, then right-click to select them and click delete

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MapiUserBallAmok
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\Mick1\APPLICATION DATA\ROADAM~1

5. After that, Reboot into normal Windows mode..

6. Please go HERE to run Panda's ActiveScan
  • Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
  • A new window will open...click the Check Now button
  • Enter your Country
  • Enter your State/Province
  • Enter your e-mail address and click send
  • Select either Home User or Company
  • Click the big Scan Now button
  • If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
  • It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
  • When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan
  • When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location.
7. Post back with:
  • the contents of the ActiveScan report
  • a new HJT log
  • tell me how your computer is running and if you are still having problems.
