pc keeps shutting down or freezing keep seeing this error in my error msg
log
any help?

ACPI AMLI: ACPI BIOS is attempting to write to an illegal IO port address
(0x70), which lies in the 0x70 - 0x71 protected address range. This could
lead to system instability. Please contact your system vendor for technical
assistance.

Hey there tygr6229, welcome to Geeks To Go Forums.

Of all the information I have found on your error, I think the best would be to update your BIOS. If you dont know how to do that let me know what BIOS you are using and the model of your motherboard. I will then get back to you and try and give you the instructions.

Cool :whistling:

If you don't have any documentation for your motherboard, then you can carefully open the case of your tower and get the info directly from the motherboard itself. You may want to consider wearing a grounding wrist strap and be sure to completely remove power from your unit before doing this. You can then go to the website of the manufacturer with this info. and get whatever pertinent info you need from there as far as bois upgrades or whatever.
