Hello guys, I dont know how long it has been going on, but for about a week now it has gotten really bad. My computer is running terribly slow, and I will do my best to explain the situation, so here goes. I play many games on my computer, and basically all I built it for. I notice during CS, it doesnt lag, but my FPS drop to 5.5-7.5 for about 10 seconds. After that it will be fine for about another minute or two, and then it will drop again.

I had noticed it would do that on other games like WoW, and even internet based mmorpgs like RuneScape and such. Even when winamp is playing, it will skip for a good 5 seconds or so. I also noticed that my start menu, does not show submenus. So I have lost alot of access to key things from Start menu.

Someone else been having these problems, cause mine just popped up not to long ago. :whistling:

Click start then run, type prefetch then press enter, click edit then select all, right click any file then click delete, confirm delete

Click Optimize and Improve to run Reg Defrag, which will take a few minutes and need a reboot. You should disable the antivirus programme to run this and check it is running after the reboot

After the reboot, click optimize then system optimizer to optimize the computer, select computer with an internet connection from the drop down menu, this also requires a reboot

After the reboot, click optimize then system optimizer to accelerate downloads, select the speed just above your actual connection speed, this requires a reboot

After the reboot, click optimize then system optimizer to run system advisor
