After a few aborted attempts at burning some videos, I got rid of the temp files by using the
INCINERATOR option in System Mechanic Pro 6s (or so I thought).
I then noticed about 12 GB of memory missing from C drive. Thinking those temp files were
responsible, I looked everywhere but couldn't find them.
I then used the Disk Space Explorer option in System Cleaner and sure enough, it found
C:INCINERATE, 12.46 GB.
I believe this can occur when the INCINERATING process does not complete it's run but the
problem is finding C:INCINERATE. It's not there!
Any ideas how to find it and recover that precious memory?

Thanks for the reply, but I've already tried that option and it's simply not there.
I've also run a search, including hidden and system folders but still nothing.
In fact, I would not have known it was there but for using System Cleaner.
I even thought that System Cleaner was faulty, but then the 12.46 gb ARE
still missing. This is a real and annoying puzzle. I've seen a few others with
a similar problem, but at least they could actually SEE Incinerator in order to
remove it manually.

If you have the installation software / source for system mechanic, uninstall it and select any option to remove log files for it

Check the drive

Re-install the programme

Thanks again for the advice and whoever moved my original post to the correct forum (newbies eh?).
Anyway, I tried the latest advice and still no luck with finding INCINERATOR. However. . . . I accidentally
found the solution.
After checking C drive to see if the above advice had worked, in the address bar I typed C:\INCINERATOR.
Lo and behold, the INCINERATOR folder appeared! And the dozen or so files that were in there. :whistling:
I then used the Shredder in System Cleaner to dispose of them and got back my 12.46GB.
So if anyone else experiences this problem, that is the simple solution. The best solutions always are sitting
right there before our eyes.
