NT hard drives limited to 127GB?

Hi all, we have a local server with window NT, we bought 2 x 250GB drives, but the OS will only see them as 127GB?? Is this the way it is or is there a work around?

I did a search for this, but nothing of use came up, as i thought it would be a common question!

your only real work around is to partition the drive into multiple volumes with windows nt 4
