LAN Party Extravaganza V
LPE5 to be held
July 8th-9th
starting Saturday @ 12 noon and going until Sunday @ 12 noon

Western New York Gamers Club has a monthly LAN Party held on the 2nd Saturday of every month and quarterly 75 to 250 person BYOC or xBox LAN Party Extravaganza events, with July being no exception. January and April's LPE's were such a blast for everyone at the VFW post, that we are holding a 150 person LAN at the Summit Park Mall on Saturday July 8th-9th. This event will be only $10 for any person signed up and $15 at the door. So head over soon and sign up here!

The hall is very nice and it should be a good time. For those of you who do not know this event will be held at the WNY LAN Parties venue/store in the Summit Park Mall.

They have a 3000 square foot facility, fully wired 150 port Gigabit Network, Power, Parking and private entrance for unloading and after 9pm on saturday.

Would have though you would have something bigger than that, my village has a lan group that has lans bigger than that for our little area.

Pretty nice setup, although im a big believer in the best lans being under 20 people, when you get bigger two things happen, No beer and not enough chillin.

We have 20 to 30 regulars for the normal month to month LANs. I am also a firm believer of smaller LANs with larger beers.

The ones we have at the VFW is all the beer you can drink (or until the bartender and a bunch of vets kick you out.)

This event is a once a year and most ppl in our area do not want to come out to LANs. They all have high speed and would rather stay home. If we got all the groups in the area to actually work together we could pull out a 300 to 500 person easy. but alas noone ever is one the same page or just wants to do it for the money (*Guest laughs).

Staying at home often appeals for bg events, house party lans are the best usually end up taking over every flat surface playing for a couple of hours then hooking the systems to the biggest tv in the place and watching films getting drunk till morning. then of course start the gaming all over again.

The bad things about big lans is not enough couches to crash on to sleep off the beer before the second game stretch.
