I have a business that is incorporated and another individual or individuals are using tha business name as there own. I know that the next step is to send them a notice to stop using the name only problem is I dont know what to write out in the letter and I dont really want to pay a lawyer to write it up. (only want to go to a lawyer if they decide that they are going to continue to illegally use the name.) so any suggestions? I searched the web for a "stock" letter but found none :tazz:

Do you have this name trademarked? Either in your state or federally?

Then I'd just send them a copy of your trademark via registered mail and ask them to cease and desist, or expect to be contacted by your attorney and face possible damages for loss of business.
