I have tried for the past two days to share files between two computers, both running windows XP professional. The computers are both connected to a BEFSR41 Linksys router attached to a cable modem. Both computers have access and are connected to the internet. I ran the network setup wizard on both comuters and setup the workgroup MSHOME. Unable to establish a connection beween the two. I disabled both internet firewalls still no luck. Both have simialr ip address' and the same gateway. If i ping from computer 1 to comuter 2 i get "request timed out"... if i ping from comuter 2 to computer 1 i get "negotiating IP security".... Both computers can ping the router. I have tried to tweek different parameters and still no luck.

Could anyone give me any suggestions as to what is my problem or where i should go from here.

Thank you.
