problems intalling office 2003pro over office xp

lost my disks for office xp ver 2002 so i found a copy of office pro 2003 at a garage sale,when i went to install it removeed my version of office xp and installed a very buggy version of office 2003. i consistanly recieve errors. I have uninstsalled reinstalled with no success ,install always end with a error of error 1904 cannot reg module c/programs files/microsoft office/office11/1033/msrclr40.dll, when looking up trhese errors at micorosoft it tells me to find files located on the xp disk.(see above)after the install every time i open a service or program i now recieve the errordll c:/win/sys32/mslbui.dll is not a valid windows image check this against your diskette.......needless to say i need help

If you click start then search, include hidden and system files, do you find 2 for msrclr40 and 4 for mslbui

Open Word, click help, click detect and repair, tick restore shortcuts if you have managed to install it

Have you run Microsoft Update

Consider using the Office 2007 Beta, download and save the version you want, install with the custom option, put the dot in remove previous versions

sorry to be late getting back to you...tried the search found only 1 each of those files tried the microsoft cleanup util to no avail, tried reg cleaning util same answer,i cant get the programs to uninstall completly because it gives the 1904 error and stops
