I am having a problem w/ my computer I hope someone can help. I just got Quest broadband and it offers a mcafee security system w/ the service but when I try to load it from the msn site it says my activex is not configured properly. so I click on the security setting and make them to the same as what is requested but I get the same message again I think my activex is messed up???? but I don't know anything about it. has anyone seen this before or is there something wrong......please help I don't even like getting on the internet because I have no protection from viruses

Sounds like you may already be infected. There are many different things that will screw up your active x settings to the point where you cannot change them.... I would recommend posting in the malware forum.

Please go to the malware and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
