cd-rw isn't recognized

i erased my hard drives after backing my stuff and started from scratch installing xp
pro... all programs work after reinstalling everything except in my computer, my cd-rw is
recognized as cd-r and itunes nor stomp recognize it as cd-rw! :woot: tried reinstalling
drivers no help... What do i do????? :whistling: :help: :woot: :blink: :) :woot:

When you look in device manager, do any yellow !'s show?

you might try this...
Right click the drive under the Device Manager and Uninstall (the drive: not the driver) then reboot.

This should reload the drivers.
