Problems with email on laptop

Recently I changed a setting somewhere on my laptop, probably after a couple of glasses of red wine!. Not a very useful description, but I have the memory skills of a sea urchin. Since then I can't get any joy with my email.

I connect to the internet via a wireless connection. I can get on the web no problem, but no go with email.

Using two other computers (each with direct access to the modem) I can get email access no problem, so I know the settings are fine. On my laptop I have tried OE, Outlook, Thunderbird and Eudora, all to no avail.

This is driving me round the bend :tazz:
