I am pretty numb when it comes to this stuff. I cannot seem to find any help removing this trojan horse Downloader.winshow.r. I have the AVG free virus program which identifies it but cannot remove it. It resides in c:\system volume information\_restore\...

Please help. Thanks w1mrq

If you disable system restore, restart and then enable it again it will clear your restore points and this infected file.
