Secondary Sata Problems

I formatteed my sata0 (80Gig), and reinstalled windows. my secondary sata (Sata1, 120 Gig) was also formatted or erased. the sata1 120 gig should have had about 60gig of files on it. Why did this happen? I only formatted the primary drive. I've formatted it before and this didn't hppen
