I used IEFix, and it indeed fixed my blank pop ups issue, but now my Internet Explorer icon is gone, and the only way I am able to connect is through an exising shortcut to my email that I put on my desktop. I clicked on the internet explorer tab under All Programs in the Start menu, and it only has Frontpage Express and Microsoft Netmeeting as the options...could you help me restore my shortcut to internet explorer?

Open "My Computer" navigate to Program files, look for Internet Explorer then iexplore.exe and drag that to your desktop or quick launch bar or wherever you want.
