I went to the terminal and typed in the following:
[root@localhost ~]# cd /etc
[root@localhost etc]# ls
whatever docs etc etc etc anything hosts example[root@localhost etc]# lv hosts
# Do not remove the following line, or various programs
# that require network functionality will fail.
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost

Hosts:
^ After I type in lv hosts, I can't seem to edit it. I don't know what to do after that. I want to edit the hosts file and add my own list to it. It should look something like this I believe:
# Do not remove the following line, or various programs
# that require network functionality will fail.
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
127.0.0.1 www.xxxxxx.com
127.0.0.1 www.alkjdfla.com
^ So yea how would I do that? By the way, I am logged in as root
On windows it's pretty straight foward, just locate host file and copy, past, and save that's it. However on linux it's different. Have any of you ever tried editing the host file on linux? If so can you guide me through it?
EDIT:
No need to help anymore, I got it now
