I'm having a problem with my headset here. I have an Alienware computer that won't recognise the difference between the mic and the sound, and I'm not exactly sure how to make it use one of the different drives on the computer to help it differeniate between the two. Here's the info on the card:

Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS (WDM)

Device Name: Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS (WDM)
Description: Creative Audigy Audio Processor (WDM)
Class: MEDIA
Service: ctaud2k
Driver Version: 5.12.6.402
Driver Date: 7-10-2003
Vendor Id: 1102
Device Id: 0004
Revision: 0004
IRQ Number: 18
PCI Slot: 3
Verified Hardware Device against Order: SND-SBAUD2ZS-SB0350
Test Sound Card

If someone could help me with this, I'd greatly appreciate it! Let me know if you need more info.

Thanks!

have you gone into mixer and set the second from the right column to microphone. You can get there thru the start/all programs/creative/SB audigy/creative surround mixer. Click on the icon and change it to the mic.
