Some or all?

Click start then control panel, sounds and speech, change the sound scheme, is it set for windows default?

Look for start windows, left click it then click the play button

Click start then control panel, sounds and speech, sounds and audio, click audio, is the playback device set as your soundcard, click volume, are there any ticks in mute?

On Volume, is it set to high, click speaker volume, is it set to high, click advanced, is the speaker selection correct?
