Beginning Tuesday I've been unable to load Internet Explorer. I click on it, get the hour glass, the hour glass then goes away and nothing happens. At this point I can't load any other programs. When I shut down my system pauses while it attempts to kill iexplorer.exe.

Thinking that this was a virus or spyware issue I used Norton, Ad-Aware and Spybot but the system came up clean. Upon further investigation I discovered that my problem was linked to the fact that I use my.yahoo.com as my default web page. I discovered this because I was able to successfully bring up Internet Explorer while trying to download Microsoft Updates.

As it stands now, my Internet Explorer browser works just fine as long as I don't go to my.yahoo.com. Whenever I do try and go there now, my browser locks up and I have to reboot. I checked my virus & spyware scanning programs and don't see my.yahoo.com blocked anywhere.

I'm at a loss trying to figure out what to do next. Any thoughts?

Moved to Internet since this has nothing to do with Comments or suggestions.
