Hello
i have a bit of a problem here, my dvd-drive is not working.
wont read any kind of cds. Each time i try i recive the following mesage: "Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it would be using a format that is not compatible with Windows."

i tried all of the cds on another compuer and they work.
if more information needed please tell me.
i'll do anything i want my dvd-drive to work how is use to be :) :woot:

The .exe. its the update program. the .hex is the firmware and if the program ask for the firmware browse and select it. the .bat maybe is mayde for automation of the whole process. run the .bat first and see if the firware update start if not run the .exe.

Ok i got the readme file says:
Instructions:
1. Make Bootable Floppy Disk
2. Extract all files of the ZIP file onto Boot Disk
3. Reboot PC with Boot Disk inserted.
4. Type
update.bat <return>
F/W will now be updated (you may be prompted to insert a disk, any CD will do)
5. Wait for Flashing to finish.
6. Reboot PC

and i have a question. my original language is spanish and there are suome words that i simply dont get.
how do i do a bootable floppy disk? :whistling:

The i have to say that your drive is broken. probably the laser. you can try to clean the laser lens but i dont think it will help. Unfortunatelly you have to buy new drive.
